Lunar Silver Star Harmony Gameplay Chapter 4 - Getting the Sea Chart & Saline Slimer Fight!
Lunar Silver Star Harmony is the third remake of the 1992 role-playing video game Lunar: The Silver Star. It was developed by Game Arts in 2009 and released exclusively for the PlayStation Portable by GungHo Works in Japan, by Xseed Games North America, and by Game Arts in Europe and Australia for PSN only. Along with a new isometric view, the game also features a hand-drawn style for the characters and backgrounds, a more talkative lead character, as well as new music and an expanded story. It was the last game of Lunar game series
Lunar: Silver Star Harmony is a traditional, top-down role-playing video game featuring two-dimensional character and background graphics. While it retains the animated cutscenes from Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete, it features a new isometric view, a hand-drawn style for the characters and backgrounds, a more talkative lead character, a remixed soundtrack, new voice-acting and a new English localization. The gameplay itself remains the same, although it incorporates improvements from Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete as well as ultimate attacks akin of Final Fantasy VI's Limit Breaks.
The story of Lunar: Silver Star Harmony is identical to Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete with the exception of an additional short playable prologue featuring the original Four Heroes (Dragonmaster Dyne, Ghaleon, Mel D'Alkirk and Lemia Ausa) and their final fight against dark wizard Eiphel and his allies, the Five Princes of the Black Star, who have abducted the previous incarnation of the Goddess Althena.
To get to Meribia, we need to head to Saint town first but sadly without a sea chart....we can't go anywhere (The captain said that the witch has the sea chart. Oh well...). Since the witch has the chart, we have to go back to the foggy forest but it's not foggy again this time. If you had traveled to every available pathway in this forest area, you will know that you only need to keep going the right path until you reach an area with cabin ahead of you. When everyone arrive near the cabin, several inactive traps can be seen here (I think it was supposed to be for catching bird or animal). One of them seems to be moving and it turns out that Nash was trapped here while screaming for help (Well, Nash is not that clever for sure).
Nash is a young Magician prodigy and a bit narcissistic with constant tendency to comb his hair bangs (How did his hair bang flip upward like Elvis Presley since there's no hair gel in the game's time setting?). He is an expert in thunder magic but sadly....his magic won't be useful to enemies resist against thunder element midgame(You can tell from the damage texts color. Yellow means that the enemy is weak against that magic's element or attack type skill while red means that the enemy resist the magic's element or attack type skill. Some enemies maybe weak against Alex's slash type skill). After getting the Sea Chart from the witch, it's time to give it to the captain in Saint. Before we can ride the boat, the captain asks us to get rid of the monster and we were lucky to have Nash since this monster called "Saline Slime" is weak against his Riot thunder spell.
Well, let's do this!
