16Super Robot Wars A (スーパーロボット大戦A, Sūpā Robotto Taisen Ē) is a video game for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance, part of Banpresto's Super Robot Wars franchise and the first to appear on the Game Boy Advance handheld; the letter "A" in the title stands for "Advance". It was ported onto mobile phones as part of the Super Robot Wars collection in 2006. An enhanced remake of Super Robot Wars A was released for the PlayStation Portable on June 19, 2008 as Super Robot Wars A Portable.
The story of Super Robot Wars A revolves around an organization called the Shadow-Mirror, which exists in a parallel world where events happened in a different way than the original game world, thus making the state of the worlds different, though a bit similar at times. Its leader, Vindel Mauser, desires a world of eternal war to make humanity improve more through war. His plan is to send his agents towards another dimension, spy on the defense forces of the world in order to make adjustments on the attack, and eventually conquer it.
The player is given a choice as one of the two possible volunteers of the dimensional jump to the parallel world from the Shadow-Mirror universe and will later discover through their own way whether the Shadow-Mirror is right or wrong.
The original robots debuting in Super Robot Wars A are based on the original robots in Super Robot Wars 64. The player's choice of the main robot, regardless whether it is a super- or real-type, will affect the beginning of the game, as well as the choice of robots deployed by the enemy.
Bright asks about the Nadesico but to no avail as the radar didn't find the Nadesico anywhere. Well...we will meet them again soon. Meanwhile, Kaine was excited since today was the day for the Dragonar's registration reset of the trio and yet at the same time, Kaine begged Noin to let them try test flight much to her dismay (She allowed them to pilot the D-weapons again in the end which means that the reset will be delayed in another few days). Bright announced that the White Base will go to Torrington next with Koji pointing out its location in Australia and Jack mentioning that it's famous for its good seafood. In the cabin, Ryo wonders about when peace will happen with the Giganos attack after the One Year War ended while Shiro pointed out their relation with Nergal's Nadesico and Zeon's movement. Michiru points out the Devil Gundam and wonders about what will happen next with Domon staying quiet upon hearing it. Axel suddenly asks about Kazuya's family relation with the Bharmian much to Nana's shock for not knowing about it and she explains that the Bharmian broke down the peace treaty. Axel tried hard to remember, Koji asks if he remember anything while Rain was shocked to hear that Axel lost his memories. Axel stays positive that at least he knows how to behave in common sense and pilot the Aschenretter much to Sayaka's annoyance for blurting out the embarrassing part. As everyone does not know much about the peace treaty, Nana explains first followed by Ryo explaining the rest. It's not surprising that the immigration negotiation needs double thinking when considering the number of inhabitants. Koji mentions Daisuke originating from Fleed Planet which means that achieving coexistence with aliens is possible by any means (As long as you don't harbor any bias against them. Not everyone is neutral sadly which is why the Bharm broke the peace). Kazuya harbors complex feelings after what the Bharmian did to his father during the peace treaty. In the control room, Miwa expresses disappointment in Londo Bell (Well, you are a bigot against aliens while the Londo Bell was supposed to be a neutral and independent force, Miwa). Domon and Rain nearly got exposed with Rain following along with Bright's lies about them joining as volunteers. In the base, Kou will be joining the White Base in his Gundam but why is it loaded with nuclear weapons?? Miwa!!! His bigotry makes him doesn't care about the aliens and try to kill all of them without any feeling (Everyone is right, you are a mad person, Miwa!). Amuro had no choice but to agree with Miwa as he knew that it's not easy dealing with him. As Amuro explains everything to the new members, he senses Char's appearance coming close.
A double battle, this isn't good. Kazuya has his morale dropped down when Erika returns to her brother, Richter (Jeez, why did the game drop his morale by 30? Yup, madness difficulty that I didn't even set and it's the beginning of the level). Seriously??? This is going to be the last chapter cause I will be moving to Super Robot Wars W next (Fully patched to English). I had enough of this game and I will continue it again next time.
