Mafia 2 is so much BETTER in VR! // Mafia 2 Definitive Edition VR gameplay!
270Mafia 2 VR is the newest in a long line of VR mods for non VR games that Luke Ross has created & honestly it might be some of his very best work to date! Luke has already converted some of the best open world flatscreen games into VR (GTA V, RDR2, Mafia Definitive Edition) and now Mafia 2 VR is here and it's one of the smoothest experiences I've had with a VR mod. This is possibly due to the age of Mafia 2, when compared to the games Luke has converted previously, I was able to run the game in a 2700x2700 resolution at a solid 140fps with no ghosting, blur, artificats or issues at all and it's only during some wonky cutscenes (where you can see things you normally wouldn't be able to see) that Mafia 2 in VR exposes itself as a non native VR game.

This Mafia 2 VR gameplay was captured using an Oculus Quest 2 PCVR link, I've now tested the game with Quest 2 airlink & Quest 2 PC VR link cable and both were incredibly impressive. When recording the gameplay the framerate took a hit but when playing simply for my own enjoyment the game runs stable at 140fps on my system (RTX 2080, i7 9700k & 32GB DDR4 RAM). There might not be an official Mafia VR game at this point but these incredible VR mods for non VR games are here to give VR players a huge slice of open world gameplay nonetheless!
