RESIDENT EVIL 2 VR WITH FULL MOTION CONTROLS! // This new VR mod is TERRIFYING!
1,503Resident Evil 2 has joined the growing list of games with VR mods with motion controls & this one is VERY special, seeing the RPD in all it's glory thanks to this Resident Evil 2 VR mod might be the most terrifying VR horror experience out there. The Resident Evil 2 remake VR mod is coming very soon and I was lucky enough to take it for a test drive this week, at first I thought it would feel just like the Resident Evil 2 first person mod running with Vorpx (something I've tried in the past) but after just a few seconds of playing I realised how wrong I was. Despite a few graphical hiccups, some wonky hand/arm animations & the occassional artifact this Resident Evil VR mod feels exceptionally close to a native VR game with some of the best visuals I've ever seen inside a headset. If you want Resident Evil 2 to feel scary again then prepare yourself for what might now be the most intense VR zombie survival game out there... **A NEW VERSION OF THE MOD REMOVES THE CROSSHAIRS MENTIONED IN THE VIDEO - These modders mean business!!!**
Just for reference I captured this Resident Evil 2 VR gameplay using Oculus mirror & OBS so the performance/video representation has taken a slight hit, visuals inside the headset were much cleaner, crisper & framerates more stable than what the video shows on occassion. The Resident Evil 2 Remake VR mod is quite performance intensive however and to capture this I dropped most graphics settings to low or medium, without OBS/mirror running I'd happily scale things back up, my PC setup is as follows: RTX 2080, i7 9700k, 32GB DDR4 RAM, Windows 10 & using an Oculus Quest 2 with PC link cable. If you've had a taster of the Resident Evil VR Quest 2 / Resident Evil VR Oculus Quest 2 experience with RE4 VR but now you want something a little more "realistic" then keep your eye on the Resident Evil back catalogue...we're about to get a whole bunch of incredible new VR mods!
