The fastest moving storm I have EVER seen... (Read description)
3Today, I was experiencing a severe thunderstorm that came in to my location faster than I've ever expected. As a weather person, I checked the conditions in my chromebook and window until it passes through, but, as seen in the video, the storm system was heading my way rather rapidly. Note that the sky wasn't blue in person as my camera suggests - it was actually a dark greenish color and was a tornadic thunderstorm cell (there is a moderate risk threat, which is NOT good).
Normally, it takes about 30 minutes to an hour before it begins to rain. But in this case, I found the storm was moving at a staggering 55 mph, it only took just 5-10 minutes before the heavy rain comes in, and it shocked me entirely (it indeed began pouring hard immediately after I stopped recording). And, as soon as I posted this video, the bad storm's core was already past and the power almost went out. I've never seen a system move THAT quickly in my life!
