Mario Kart 64 - Flower Cup 50cc
0I will be doing Mario Kart 64 the same way I have been doing Mario Kart 8. In this video, I play as Toad, he is the lightest character in the game, and he does automatically spin out if he bumps into any other character, most notably heavyweight characters like Bowser or Wario.
The tracks for the Flower Cup are Toad's Turnpike, Frappe Snowland, Choco Mountain, and Mario Raceway. I don't like Toad's Turnpike in this game, I don't mind the music for that track, but it's not one of my favourites, but I did like its inclusion in Mario Kart 8, and it is the first track to have vehicles on the road which act as obstacles, and the traffic is affected by the speed class, so it is slower on 50cc.
Some of the courses have different names in Japanese, for example, Luigi Raceway in the Mushroom Cup is called Luigi Circuit, but in the Flower Cup, Toad's Turnpike is called Toad Highway, or Kinopio Highway, as Toad's Japanese name is Kinopio, and Mario Raceway is called Mario Circuit in Japanese.
As with rivals in this game, each character does not have a set rival unlike in Super Mario Kart, so for most of this race, I had Peach and Luigi, as I find it to be based on 2nd and 3rd place, while the 4th place would usually be either Yoshi or Wario, I should check and see if rivals are a thing in this game, or if they are randomly set for each time you do the Grand Prix.
