It is finally here, the Special Cup on Extra, and in this one, I play as Bowser, so I am challenging myself by using a heavyweight character on mirrored courses that use the 100cc speed class. The tracks for this one are DK's Jungle Parkway, Yoshi Valley, Banshee Boardwalk, and Rainbow Road, if Yoshi's Valley wasn't already confusing enough, I dislike racing on this track on Extra, because that track confuses me even more, and Banshee Boardwalk is one of my least favourite tracks in this game because of how narrow the track feels, and bats coming out when you enter the house area.
As with Rainbow Road, if you are taking the shortcut, you have to go right instead of left, as the track is mirrored. After getting through the Special Cup and the Awards Ceremony, we then get the credits for Mario Kart 64, where it shows all 16 courses, and when the credits end, you have to turn off your console. It was good revisiting Mario Kart 64, because as I have said before in earlier videos, Mario Kart 64 was one of my first few Nintendo 64 games I have owned, the first game I ever played was Super Mario 64, and the Nintendo 64 was the very first video game console I have ever owned, and I really liked playing Mario Kart 64 back in the day, so it was great to go back to this game through Nintendo 64 - Nintendo Switch Online and playing it on the Nintendo Switch. If you are wondering about Super Mario Kart, I don't have any plans to do the Grand Prix for that game, because the Special Cup in Super Mario Kart is very difficult, even on 100cc and 150cc, and I didn't play Super Mario Kart until it was on Nintendo Switch Online, while with Mario Kart 64, I have played this game way back in the day.
I do like the Mario Kart series, and as for which one is my favourite, I would go with Mario Kart 8, I did like Double Dash!!, I am not a fan of Mario Kart DS, but I did like playing that game, don't like Wii as much as 8, but Wii was good, Super Circuit is my least favourite out of the Mario Kart series, I did play that on the Nintendo 3DS, and while it was interesting, it isn't that easy as it is a GBA game, and I liked Mario Kart 7 for the 3DS, I do wonder if ever we will get an original Mario Kart game for the Switch, I don't count Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, which I have no plans to play, and while we do have Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, that is not an original Mario Kart game, it is a port of Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U.
