This part is where I go on the routes from Solaceon Town to Veilstone City. On Route 210, there is a Cafe that sells Moomoo Milk, and there are some Trainers to battle there. Route 215 has a bunch of Trainers there, and as it is raining, Fire-type Pokémon will have a very difficult time, while Water-type Pokémon benefit from the rain on Route 215.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

This video is really long, as I go through both Routes 210 and 215, and there are no new encounters in this game. There is the Cafe, where you can buy Moomoo Milk, they cost less than a Super Potion, and they heal 100 HP, while a Super Potion heals about 60 HP. You can get TMs for Roost from a Bird Keeper, this is a healing move that most Flying-type Pokémon can learn, but you lose the Flying-type on the turn you use that move. In the original games, the Breeders used Happiny, and they gave a lot of experience, but in this game, Happiny doesn't give a large amount of experience like in the original games. There are a bunch of Psyduck blocking the path, which we can't do anything about until a bit later in the game.
Then Route 215, where it is raining, it decreases the power of Fire-type moves, but powers up Water-type moves. One Trainer of interest is the two Ace Trainers at the end of the route who you can fight in a Double Battle, the male Ace Trainer has a Monferno, he is worth battling if you chose Piplup, so that way you can see Monferno for your Pokédex. One thing I never went over is the Joggers, you can only battle them in the morning.
There are some good items you can get on Route 215, like TMs for Payback and Shock Wave, you can get a Fist Plate, which boosts Fighting-type moves, and other items. The only new encounter on that route is Kadabra, it will have Psybeam right away, so that's one thing different about catching it as opposed to evolving Abra, and the next Gym is a Fighting-type Gym, so catching a Kadabra will be worth it, or you can get Staravia on Route 209 to help against the Gym.
There were two new encounters in Platinum, and these two Pokémon can be found in the Grand Underground, so it's time to go over them, the first one is Scyther, which would have been encountered on Route 210 in Platinum. Scyther is exclusive to Brilliant Diamond, it is a speedy attacker, and if caught before the second Gym is a great option, as it would come with Wing Attack right away, I recommend getting a Scyther with Technician. You can equip the Metal Coat onto it to evolve it into Scizor when traded, and it will learn Bullet Punch upon evolution, you can get the Metal Coat on wild Bronzor very rarely. The nice thing about the Scyther line is that Scyther has higher Speed than Scizor, so even if you don't have a way to trade, Scyther is usable, so it is a solid option if you want to use a Bug-type of any kind, you would find Pinsir in the Grand Underground in Shining Pearl. As with Egg Moves, Scyther can learn Night Slash, Reversal, and Feint for good options.
The other Pokémon is Lickitung, you would find that on Route 215 in Platinum, if you catch it before the second Gym or at this point, it will have Rollout right away, so you can level it up once and you can have Lickilicky right away. Lickilicky has very well rounded stats, it has high HP, and it can learn a wide variety of moves, so it's a good Pokémon to use if you are in need of a Normal-type, and it does get Knock Off and Power Whip for some good level up moves. As with its Egg Moves, you can find Lickitung that know some interesting moves like Body Slam, Curse, Hammer Arm, Muddy Water, Zen Headbutt, and a few other moves, Body Slam is the best you can have for a Normal-type move, otherwise you can give it Strength for a good Normal-type move.
You would also find Marill on Route 215 in Platinum as well, but I will go over Marill when it's first available in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. After getting through Route 215, we have arrived at Veilstone City, which I will explore in the next part, and it is a very large city, so there is a lot of explore there.
