Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Shell Cup Mirror
0Next up is the Shell Cup in Mirror Mode, and in this one, I play as Baby Luigi. The tracks for the Shell Cup are Wii Moo Moo Meadows, GBA Mario Circuit, DS Cheep Cheep Beach, and N64 Toad's Turnpike. I did not like Toad's Turnpike on Mirror Mode in Mario Kart 64, because normally, the vehicles go the direction where karts go, but on Mirror Mode, the vehicles drive towards the racers, and that was what made that track really difficult in Mario Kart 64, but in this game, the vehicles are not affected by that change, and sometimes the vehicles on the right lane, or left in Mirror Mode, go towards the racers.
I could go over the Staff Ghosts for Time Trials on the Shell Cup courses, and to note, Mirror Mode is not available in Time Trials, it is 150cc. I will go over the characters and vehicle combinations used, for Wii Moo Moo Meadows, it is Daisy on the Varmint, Hot Monster, or Funky Monster in Europe, and Super Glider. GBA Mario Circuit, it is Baby Mario on the Yoshi Bike, Stanard tires, and Super Glider. Then DS Cheep Cheep Beach, it is Koopa Troopa on the Steel Driver, Metal, and Parachute, and last is N64 Toad's Turnpike, and it is with Toad on the Standard Bike, Standard tires, and Parachute.
Then to go over Baby Luigi, the vehicle combination I went with is Buggybud, or Biddybuggy outside of Europe, Azure Roller, and Super Glider, and as a CPU player, Baby Luigi uses the Standard tires instead. For other vehicle combinations, Baby Luigi even uses the standard set, no explanation needed, the second one is Pipe Frame, Standard tires, and Parafoil, so I guess it's close to a standard set, as the Pipe Frame has been around since the older Mario Kart games. The fourth vehicle combination is Mr. Scooty, Roller, and Super Glider.
Baby Luigi is one of the lighter characters in the game, he has the same statistics as Baby Mario and Dry Bones, I do like using lightweight characters in Mario Kart games, specially in higher speed classes, so when I get around to doing 200cc, I might be using lightweight characters around then, because they are easier to control in a high speed class. Baby Luigi's rivals in the Grand Prix are Baby Mario and Baby Daisy, and from what I have checked, Baby Peach has the same rivals as Baby Luigi in the Grand Prix.
