Today I'll show you how looks and works another native Linux game - Medieval II: Total War.

Medieval II: Total War is a strategy of the Total War series, this time we will get to the Middle Ages era. In the game we can be faster to manage one of the many European and world powers, but also small states. The game offers two modes, both the map of the world in which we move units, resume buildings, developing cities, villages, etc., And a detailed map of the battlefield where battles are fought.

The game was released on 11 November 2006 by Sega and developed by Creative Assembly studio. Game appeared on PCs running on Windows. Recently, in 2015, Feral Interactive release also for Linux / SteamOS.

Remember if you want support Linux developer, always buy on the pages of the Linux developer or other authorized stores like Steam, which is clearly marked with support for Linux.

From the author:

This game I bought at the launch time for Linux. Until now I played in it few times. Many times I played it in 2006/2007 years, when Sega release a Windows version. It is a great production, which until now have been lacking on Linux. The game runs well on Linux and even on the AMD Radeon with AMD Catalyst fglrx driver but on this driver we have small issues.

If we run game on fglrx driver (AMD Catalyst) we have graphics bug on strategic map and battle map. If we want fix it, we should change in graphic option - shader model to 1 from 2. This should fix issues.

My PC Spec:
System: Linux Ubuntu 15.10 x64 Unity
Kernel: Linux 4.2 x64

Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/4700/
Feral Store: https://store.feralinteractive.com/en/mac-linux-games/medieval2/
