That's another long final boss battle. Whew...
* Final bosses: Zero - 00:57 / Neo Sigma - 03:05 / Sigma Virus - 04:39

The final set of battles of X2 aren't too troublesome, they are a bit tiresome, though. Zero can be skipped if you got all of his parts before the X-Hunters stages.

Zero is the first in line to fight, he reacts according to your position in the screen, if you're far from him he will perform his Buster-Buster-Slash combo, if you're too close he'll fire a mid-charged shot at you, and if you're on a wall, mostly at higher than jump height he will dash towards your position and use the Earth Gaizer attack.

While intimidating at first Zero is very easy to be put in a loop and I show three ways I use to beat him:

1) Wall jumping during his combo. This is by far the riskiest and less recommended method.
2) Jump while close to him as he will spam his mid-charged shots and they can be destroyed by a charge shot. By far the safest option once you get the timing right (which is easy enough too).
3) Jump from one wall to another avoiding his Earth Gaizer. Beware that depending on how far you are from Zero he will retaliate with his combo attack, or a mid-charged shot, or even another Earth Gaizer if you got to another wall fast enough.

Following him is Neo Sigma. Sigma can be a pest to deal with since he can do whatever he likes, he can chain up to three dash attacks or three rows of spark balls. The spark balls in particular can be tough to deal since the way you have to deal with them varies heavily with Sigma's position.

The problem with this fight is the fact Sigma's vanish and drop attack has random intervals so you can't lure Sigma perfectly into the same spot, you can try dashing away the moment Sigma shows up but do it one millisecond too late and Sigma will get the drop on you (literally).

Sigma Virus is the last battle and it's another fight that you can find your own way to deal with. This is a fight where movement planning and reaction are crucial.

While everything looks simple and on paper this boss shouldn't be difficult, but unless you've played this fight you have no idea how easy is to screw up the loop, one wrong move here can make everything spiral out of control sometimes to FUBAR levels.

You have to take enemies position into account and even the lag caused by extra items on the floor because those two things can and will throw you off if you're not paying attention. The fish enemies in particular are troublesome because they have a tendency to go further in the arena, which is why I always try to kill at least one enemy before jumping away-- had one too many cases where two of those things spawned and put me in a situation where dodging was impossible.

Once Sigma Virus becomes red is when things get annoying, Sigma will teleport, disappear and reappear, constantly for a random number of times usually (key word here) on top of you and sometimes at seemingly random places.

There are a few important things about the teleport attack: first, Sigma will harm you only after his projection fully materializes onscreen, second, as soon as he starts disappearing he no longer can hit (or you can hit) him, and third, if Sigma pops on ground level at random places in most cases you can dash safely under him as well.

Should Sigma catch you and trap you inside him you can mash out as fast as you can to get him to let go of you too.
