Message to Phil 2 - The Xbox Series X Launch is Looking Like a Disaster!
A famous musician (Mr John Lennon) once said - "War is Over" and the console war for this generation could very well be if Microsoft doesn't get its act together, and get people motivated for next generation.
There's been some articles saying Microsoft doesn't care about consoles sold, but the fact of the matter is, not a lot of people CARE about their platform right now, not gamepass not Xbox Series X or S, or anything Xbox. Gamers can still be incredibly excited about Xbox next gen if they wanted to, but the numbers clearly show no one is watching their stuff on youtube. This isn't about consoles anymore, its about Xbox the brand, its failing. And my video isn't to disparage and hurt the xbox, but rather acknowledge the mistakes Xbox have made over the past year and the right decisions Sony made.
If one thing is clear, a healthy video gaming industry only exists if there are active competing corporations, rather than a one sided monopoly. The gaming industry needs Microsoft to do well to keep Sony and Nintendo honest.
Anyways - I'm a big fan of Phil Spencer, he's made a ton of great consumer friendly decisions so far, and he seems sincere in the way he treats his studios and also gamers, I hope Xbox ends up successful. That said I still have no compelling reason to get an Xbox Series X and Series S.
