First it was the Resident Evil 8: Village rumor where it was looking like PS5 was not able to handle native 4k or that the developers were currently having trouble with the machine. Now we're getting PR from the Japanese representative that Ratchet and Clank on PS5 will be either 4K or 60fps but not both. The 60fps will be a lower resolution (I'm assuming 1440p).

This is somewhat of a disappointment as it would have been nice to get 4k/60 even with checkerboard rendering if that's even possible. Either way - I think we're going to get a lot more of these stories as we get closer to launch. Developers are on a tight time schedule and I'm guessing the global pandemic has not helped developer workflows and deadlines.
