Thantoss: Mark Elements by consecutively flicking 2 Elements of the same type. If matched tiles contain marked Elements, double the Blast Speed. Triple marked Elements sent. Element ratio is 1:2:1:1:0:2.

My personal thoughts on Thantoss: A prison planet, eh? Half surprised they let these types in a galactic tournament...
Thantoss has a couple of things going for it. Let's start with the most noticeable one, there's no light elements with this avatar, as well as fire and dark appearing much more often. With that out of the way, the meat and bones of this avatar is the marking system. By flicking elements of the same type back to back, you mark all tiles of that element type (ex. Flick two water back to back, all water tiles currently on the field get marked). All marked elements count as triple sent and matching with them doubles Blast Speed, just about guaranteeing the stack clears the field. There's two main ways you can take advantage of this: The first is getting a screen wide stack going, then quickly flicking two of the same element to get some marks going before matching with said element type and launching everything off with a little increase in power. While this is pretty neat, the second way to use this is arguably more powerful: flick stalling. If you get a stack going that reaches across the screen that *doesn't* include the bottom row(s), you can flick stall and if you happen to know what you're doing, you can mark elements as you do this and potentially skyrocket your power and score as a result, especially if you have the entire bottom two rows unlinked to the stack. This is a prime example of flick stalling being a very effect strategy on an avatar, especially one that can use that strategy to great effect. Living on a prison planet for lord knows how long is bound to teach the natives some tricks.
