The Elysium is created. A plight to rival the other space

superpowers, who have by now, begun their strives to begin manned

explorations. Whilst the Union program lags behind in that facet.

With its main purpose of providing stable SSTO and spaceplanes -

the Union has, in response - created the Elysium. Currently the

most powerful and strongest spaceplane existing in the world. With

the capacity to lift almost twice the weight of the Enigma and

Sigma drones, the Elysium sports an extremely new feature within

the fleet of ships. Elysium is capable of lifting a significantly

larger payload, specifically 2.3m diameter payloads. Housing an

airframe much stronger then the SIGMA - the Aerodynamic and

structural capabilities of the Elysium permits extremely

asymetrical components to be lifted into space. The Elysium

currently fronts as the first and final Heavy Starship of the

Union space program. whilst the Saturn launch systems are capable

of lifting wider and heavier payloads, those rockets are currently

being reserved for future missions to Mars and Eve mainly due to

their costs.

The addition of the Elysium brings a new ship alongst the current

fleet of ships the: Delphi, Flagship, Featherwing, ENIGMA, SIGMA &

The OPIS / Saturn Launch Systems.

The idea behind the Elysium is to launch heavy manned space

components for a planned Space Station known as the Unaria. Housed

upon the Elysium is a part of the new space station - the main hub

and one of the heaviest components known as the Aqueinas Unix. The

Aqueinas Unix will serve as the central component of the small

space station. However due to the limited capabilities of the

Elysium, the Station is to be built in Low Earth orbit.

The Elysium Launch System is currently still in deep development.

It currently runs on the same engines of which the Experimental

Antelope Featherwing uses. With their extreme efficiency within

the Atmosphere. The Rams are capable of saving the SSTO at least

45% more fuel then usual. It is currently being debated if there should be a detachable add-on extension for the Elysium such as the old Antelope ships - which might allow it to travel further out in space. The first design so far is a detachable fuel tank within, where the cargo is hoisted facing up instead of the typical attached from the sides.

It is in current administrative consideration as to whether the Elysium and possible Sister crafts will be used to construct deep space habitats and space stations/interplanetary missions in the future. The success of this launch is lauded and applauded upon by different nations across the world. Strengthening ties and offending others.
