umm um

Coordinated with help from the ATS programme, the Metronome GPS

network would be the immediate most complex mission so far

undergone by the Union space program. In one single launch, the

Metronome GPS Sattelite cluster is expected to put 8 GPS Coverage

sattelites into orbit thus giving global nonstop GPS Coverage.

This is because, previous missions often relied heavily on GPS in

order for lift-off, and for better ground tracking. this was

especially relevant during spaceplane re-entry and landings, where

GPS is incredibly important in determining the craft's final path.

Before that, all calculations were performed with presets and were

often - as shown - not accurate.

The Metronome GPS Network is launched via an old Saturn Launch

Vehicle. Predating the cold war, the Saturn Launch Vehicle is

currently the oldest and only rocket capable of bringing such a

huge payload into orbit. However, in the works is apparantly a new

ship by the Antelope network, privately funded by the corporation

industries CI - the Antelope Elysium is to take flight soon. A

craft which boasts double the capacity of even the military Enigma

drone.

The polar deployment of the GPS sattelites goes fully nominal as

all crafts automatically circularize the planet in their

respectful orientations. The original intent was for the Metronome

second cluster |4 sattelites and a mothership| to deploy in the

south pole after trailing behind the original launches. This was

foiled by a faulty decoupling system which forced all the

remaining sattelites to 'violently' deploy. Several solar panels

and instrumentations are destroyed in the process. Amazingly, all

of the Sattelites are functional. Minus Metronome 6 and Metronome

9 which are currently functioning on low-power mode due to the

damaged solar panels. The Metronome mothership is positioned into

a polar orbit intended to receive interplanetary signals and boost

them back to Earth.
