In this video we go over the Useful Storage Mod (Also dubbed Scarecrows Mod). This mod features 4 new blocks which help with the storage of coal, charcoal, wheat, and redstone. For the hoarders out there, this mod will help facilitate the trading of resources as well as organize the ones you have in your base.
To combine charcoal, coal, redstone, or wheat into a block using the Useful Storage Mod, you go to the crafting table and fill it up with that specific block. To de-construct, you take that charcoal block, coal block, redstone block, or wheat block and just place it in the crafting table. You'll receive your raw materials back.

The useful storage mod makes it so that transporting resources are easier and quicker. As a hoarder, I often had 2-3 double chests filled with redstone powder. Utilizing this I can shrink it down into a double chest. This helps me organize my collection better while playing multiplayer/minecraft servers.
There is an added bonus that not many people know about when using the useful storage mod, and that is that you can create a scarecrow. By creating a scarecrow, all monsters within the general area will leave the range of the scarecrow (about 15 blocks or more) so that you should feel safer in your area without having a random creeper show up at your door.
Optionally, you can also place one of the extra files into your minecraft.jar to make it so that animals will also run away from your scarecrows. Though this may not be as useful, it can definitely keep creatures away from your vicinity so you can focus on your work.
