Minecraft (Nintendo Switch) Review | 8-Bit Eric
222This is a review of Minecraft for the Nintendo Switch by 8-Bit Eric. Controls, game modes, and mechanics have largely remain unchanged since the game's debut
In case you have been living under a rock, mine craft is an big sandbox game where you create structures using blocks and exploring massive, randomly generated maps.
There is creative mode, where you can play relaxed and not have to worry about the challenges you face in survival mode, where you have to build shelter and avoid monsters, eat food, etc.There is also the set of mini games, you can play for a different type of variety.
It offers world sizes up to "medium," or 3,072-by-3,072 blocks, a massive upgrade from the Wii U's 864-by-864 which is much smaller than PS4 and Xbox ones world sizes.
But the main deciding factor in my enjoyment of the switch version is it’s portability. The Nintendo Switch version of Minecraft features the Super Mario Mash-Up Pack, which was previously released for the Wii U version.
The Nintendo Switch version of Minecraft runs at a resolution of 720p 60fps docked and undocked, but draw distance and pop-in can be an issue at times
There is a physical version coming “at a later date.” I recommend it just for the flexibility you gain by being able to play one version on your TV set and on the move.
It supports online play for up to eight players, There’s no built-in voice or text chat, or even any sort of emote system, so you’ll have to coordinate communication using an outside chat or voice service. While up to four players can play together on one Switch console, you’ll need extra controllers just to play split-screen with two; you cannot play with a single joy con in multiplayer
