Not sure what else to call this. Basically, this is the result of a huge loophole I noticed in this game yesterday. If you open Start-menu one frame after activating a door, the scene glitches up and you retain the ability to move while the door is opening. If you now go and talk to someone as the screen is fading out, Shujinko does not enter the hut but instead returns to the main level, which is now unloaded other than its triggers, coins and chests. Since there are no collisions, it means you can run anywhere unhindered. But you can't take a look at the map during this glitch, which is a drawback... I think you also can't save, although that's normal when you're inside a hut.

Opening an important chest brings a part of the world back into existence, as do activating important triggers. Interestingly, I could get the snowy weather to start after visiting the Lin Kuei area of the map, and it didn't end even after I went elsewhere. It even snowed indoors after that.

I'm slightly concerned about the fact that this glitch only seems to work on the GC version. It's likely a version difference. In worst case scenario it's some weird emulation error, but I hope not. Should test this some day on a real Gamecube to verify it.

There are other strange results you can get doing this glitch elsewhere and with other timings. Those will probably be included in some glitch compilation vid in the future.

You can skip everything in the first village using this glitch. I'd imagine later maps in the game also have some skips that can be done with this trick.
