Monkey Island 4 - Escape From Monkey Island - Walkthrough Part 4
000:02 - Run over to the Puppet Theatre, speak with Lil LeChuck and quiz him on Hellbeard until Lil Guybrush pops up. Ask him to speak with the Puppeteer. Exit the conversation and while Hellbeard is still there, open the inventory and show him the picture of the Ultimate Insult on the blue painting. Pick up Lil Guybrush and Lil LeChuck from the ground.
04:22 - Now head over to the white building with the blue roof which is the pirate school. Talk to the Teacher Lady and sign up to the school. Give all of the nastiest answers to the questions to get the Dunce Cap.
11:55 - When you are back outside, pull the fire alarm. Then go inside and pick up the Whistle from the treasure chest.
13:00 - Head to the bottom of the beach beside the rowboat and run to the right hand side. Speak with the Metabolically - challenged pirate. Speak with him about the parrots. Then speak with him about his size and about Tiny LeFeet. You should be able to speak about the statue to find out he stole the bronze hat and buried it on the beach. If this dialogue option didn't unlock you have to go back to the statue on Jambalaya Island and make sure you've spoken to the Tourist about everything and looked at the statue and the plaque.
18:30 - Now head to right to get to the beach with the bolders. Open the inventory and use the Whistle to call on the parrots. Give one of the parrots the Wimpy Grog and it will start to sway. Then ask the swaying parrot a question to find out if it is the parrot that always lies or tells the truth. Now we know which parrot tells the truth ask it where to find Tiny LeFeet's hat then go in the direction he says. At the nect bolder use the Whistle again to call on the parrots and ask the truth telling parrot where the hat is again and move in that direction.
29:32 - Keep doing this until the parrot says "Nowhere!" so we know the hat is buried under that bolder. Use Lil Guybrush and Lil LeChuck on the Big Boulder and keep talking until they start arguing to find the Bronze Hat.
32:20 - Head back to the Rowboat and back to Jambalaya Island. Go to the map screen and to the diving competition area at the left side of the island. Speak with Marco de Pollo, ask him about the Ultimate Insult and the Golden Man part that looks like the Diving Trophy. Then if the competition is open to anyone.
36:30 - Open the inventory and use the Juicy Wad of Chewed up Bagel on the Baby Seal Oil on the table. Then head into the tent next to it to change into something a little more dive friendly.
37:15 - Head over to the judges table. Speak with the judges and say you would like to take a crack at winning the diving trophy to get a Diving Certificate. Go back to Marco de Pollo and challenge him to a diving contest. Write down the combination of diving moves he does as we need to copy them.
40:56 - When Guybrush heads up to dive. When you approach the plank, Guybrush will automatically start moving forward. Be careful not to press the directional buttons as this may count as one of the diving moves. As he moves forward select the same combination of moves as Marco de Pollo. Press UP for a Keelhaul, DOWN for a Rum Barrel, RIGHT for a spinning sword and LEFT for an Alpha Monkey. In this game it was Rum Barrel, Spinning Swordsman, Rum Barrel so I should have pressed DOWN, RIGHT, DOWN.
42:06 - After the dive speak with the Hippie Judge first and ask what was wrong with the dive. He will explain you have to copy Marco De Pollo's moves to get the top score from him as previously explained. Now speak with the Grouchy Judge and ask why he keeps giving you low scores. Now we know about his red haired wife, open the inventory and look at the Time Share Brochure we got from Stan to find out some juicy information. Show the brochure to the Grouchy Judge to get better scores from him now.
46:05 - Challenge Marco de Pollo once again, write down his combination. For me it was Rum Barrel, Keelhaul, Spinning Swordsman. This time when Guybrush gets to the top, before walking towards the plank, put on the Dunce Cap from inventory (this is the advice the wise old judge would give) then walk towards the plank. Correctly choose the combination copied from De Pollo, in my game i would press DOWN (Rum Barrel), UP (Keelhaul) and RIGHT (Spinning Swordsman). If done correctly you should get three 10s and draw.
48:23 - Guybrush will dive first so move towards the plank and choose any combination of dives of your own. Marco de Pollo will use the Baby Seal Oil and Guybrush will win the trophy.
51:25 - Now Guybrush has collected all of all parts of the Ultimate Insult, he will automatically set sail for Melee Island again.
56:26 - After the scene, Guybrush will once again find himself on Monkey Island.
