Well what do you know? Later I was caught a bit off guard by an approaching train on the Buckingham Branch/Piedmont Sub. That line is usually inactive, but whenever it does see activity, it's more often on weekdays then days like this. From what I heard, the Piedmont Sub has poorly maintained rails, which can cause shaking. Probably explains the speed limit on that route. This is the longest Buckingham Branch line train I've ever seen! 5 locomotives and tons of hoppers! I know every locomotive in the lashup was a GEVO, but I was still amazed by this! I thought they were only pulling tons of empty coal hoppers, but apparently not! I soon noticed that they were also pulling some grain hoppers behind the coal cars! That's not everyday they do that! An easy nice train for the inactive line through Doswell! Enjoy! :)
