Monster Hunter World - Kulve end of siege oddities
apparently Kulve is returning this weekend, might as well upload this now.
At the end of a successful Kulve siege, a cutscene will play and the players are locked from doing basically anything to it. I noticed that by drawing the Gajalaka's aggro (red outline on the minimap) at the entrance of the last area, the game does not lock the players in the cutscene.
I'm wondering if we can actually do anything to prevent Kulve escaping and how the game will react it it does fail to escape. I doubt that it can actually be slain. But maybe we can do enough damage to stagger it, or put it to sleep, or paralysis, or stun, or mount, possibly not exhaustion though. This is not something that I can test. Not alone anyway.
In the video:
i) basically the idea behind escaping the cutscene. The battle music and post quest music overlaps until the reward screen. By the way, I found this out by pure accident getting carted right before the horn broke.
ii) a somewhat better view of Kulve teleporting to its cutscene location.
iii) some residual damage from SAED burst during the cutscene. Things like Kinsect can also do damage and scatter dust during the cutscene. But I don't think these are enough. I'd like to see someone latching on with Zero-Sum discharge in the cutscene though.
iv - vi) the end screen where the game captures the cutscene view rather than the player's view. Happens occasionally.
