I have never used the Challenger Mantle until Kulve Taroth, and I noticed there's this bug where the mantle just expires on its own. Well, potentially a bug anyway. Maybe there's some hidden mechanics the game hasn't bothered explaining, not unlike Latent Power.

This video showcases some clips where the bug occurs. The mantle can expire immediately, or the duration can get cut down by varying amounts. And it is not exclusive to Kulve Taroth or multiplayer.

There's also a clip showing how the mantle can be utilised beyond kiting, should it work correctly. My character was on lava without cool drink, getting roared several times, and tanking hits like a slightly hesistant overactive turtle.

Just a recap, Challenger Mantle gets nullified after the hunter gets hit, or after a couple of minutes.
