Ratchet & Clank (PS4) - Leftover tests
currently I'm bored of testing this. Here are some last bit of stuff I recorded for the time being.
i) Turret targeting reticule oddities
Entering and leaving a turret changes certain weapons' targeting reticule. Some like the Plasma Slayer, Hologouise, and wrench change to the default hexagon target reticule. Others like grenades changes to a targeting sprite not used anywhere in the game.
ii) Frozen climbing walls
In the training course in Kerwan, after doing the ledge setup with the grapple prompt, the retractable walls for Ratchet to wall jump don't retract, except the top most blocks. It happened everytime I set the glitch up before heading to this part of the course.
iii) Non returning cabs
In Batalia, there is a cab that when boarded and reloading the save file, the cab never returned. Unfortunately this trick seems to not work on all cabs, especially in locations that spawn lock Ratchet from ever getting back to his ship and potentially ruining the save file. This... is a good thing methinks.
iv) Combining autowalk with the grapple glitches
I tried combining said 2 glitches, nothing really exciting happened. I guess we can sorta influence the pull back trajectory, but again the prompts are so scarce that this trick barely bears any weight.
v) Tiny bots
With the Clank sections, there is a chance that Clank can throw out a shrunken version of springbot, seems to happen more frequently when throwing them into the corner.
vi) Trapped in collision
Of all the place, I managed to get Ratchet trapped in the museum. There are possibly more locations such as this elsewhere, I just find it funny to have one in the museum.
