this is one of the more merciless moonblood level, from the start where you're caught in mancubus crossfire to the inescapable death pits everywhere else. i haven't checked in udb or anything, but i don't think i ever successfully managed to recover from a fall, and there's some pretty perilous platforming to be done around the yellow key. like a lot of moonblood levels, good routing is key, and a lot of the early bit centers around getting the super shotgun. it's not easy to get up to the platform it's on with the baron still there, so i clear it out first with the spare rockets and the cells you can get. after that it becomes a lot easier to grab the bfg which is needed for 1) a cyberdemon fight in a tricky, deceptively small arena and 2) a dps race where you get one invuln to get an encounter under control with half a dozen archviles, two perched revenants, and a spider mastermind. so save your cells for those. once those are handled the finale isn't too bad, as long as you can surgically extract the pain elemental from the center of a room with very little cover.
