Okay, despite what the name might suggest, this game is not a game about trying to shimmy under a very low bar. No, it's even more sadistic than that.
Limbo is a very dark and eerie game. You are given no tutorial, no backstory, no information whatsoever. The most I got was when I started playing the game I went left and got an achievement for "Going the wrong way" and that was it. Well, I guess I peeked at the controls at one point as I was a little confused. But otherwise, that is is.
Limbo is creepy. Limbo is the state between life and a proper death, where you are definite not alive anymore but you have not made your way to a proper afterlife. In limbo, you could wander forever and still be nowhere. And I guess that's where we are, in this game. No where. No where is the realm where little boys who were bullies go, where monsters stay to punish those who don't stay away, where souls are doomed to reflect the world they once lived in, endlessly stuck in the same loops of torment and tormenting.
Was our little protaganist a bully, or just bullied? What sent him to Limbo? Is he more in a coma, where little memories of his life before keep pulling him about, intersecting what was once reality with what is now not? The little things in this game really make you question, and I honestly don't know.
