Ninja Gaiden Sound Test code - plus a bonus glitch! - Retrogaming Easter Eggs #shorts
1,383In Ninja Gaiden for the NES, you can access the game's sound test right as the Tecmo logo appears or during the game's opening sequence.
Hold Down, Left, A, B, and Select then press Start during the opening sequence or while the Tecmo logo is on screen and this will grant you access to the game's sounds and music. So if you like this game's music, now you can listen without getting interrupted by a bird or something.
And if you DON'T like this game's music, there's a glitch you can perform to turn the music off during gameplay. Any time you transition to a new screen - like as your climbing a ladder for example - if you press the Start button to pause the game at the same time as that transition, you will hear the pause sound effect, and when you unpause you can continue your game with no music playing. Kind of useless, but hey we all love useless glitches, right?
