A new update for NES Nintendo Switch Online has just been released, and three new games have been added, those being Metroid, Mighty Bomb Jack and TwinBee, and they even released a Special Edition version of Gradius.
The first game out of the new releases is Metroid, a classic NES game back in 1986 where you play as Samus Aran and it takes place in a planet named Zebes. In this game, Samus gains many power ups, like the Morph Ball, Screw Attack, Long Beam, Ice Beam, and many others.
Samus takes on the Space Pirates, and there are some bosses in this game, like Kraid and Ridley, as well as Mother Brain.
Back in the day, Samus was believed to be called Metroid, as there is the meme "Why can't Metroid crawl?" which I just recently found out was a Miiverse post back in 2013 on the Virtual Console version of Super Metroid for the SNES, I have heard of the meme before finding out about the origin of said meme.
For next month, we will get three more games to Nintendo Switch Online's NES gaming library, those are Ninja Gaiden, Adventures of Lolo and Wario's Woods, so we should expect those games somewhere in December.
