Not a blast at all - Sonic Blast (Sega Game Gear) - Retrogaming Easter Eggs
1,378There are like 100 Sonic games and only two of them are good. Sonic Blast for the Sega Game Gear is not one of the two. But hey, here's a level select code!
On the title screen, press UP, UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, DOWN, 1, 2, 1, 2. You'll hear a chime to confirm, then press START. This will take you to a level select screen!
I feel like this is yet another Sonic the Hedgehog title where you are actively punished for GOING FAST, which is THE THING Sonic is known for. In too many Sonic games, you'll end up in spikes or lava or a trap of enemies if you run at top speed. It's even harder to go fast without crashing into something on the Game Gear titles since the screen size is so limited.
