But it's for the last time, I swear! I've finally made up my mind about what kind of run I'm gonna do concerning NDX. It'll start in roughly 2 weeks, and no, it's not the Momo Solo (that's still a separate project). It's also supposed to be a "minimal cheese" kind of run, meaning that I'll try as much as possible to avoid doing cheap shit.

With that out of the way, enjoy the broken shit that the Chain Blader costume aka Infinite the Costume is. Since Luna gets such a huge HP boost compared to the bosses before, I included the cheesy parts along with the part of the combo that requires a bit of practice.

First of all, Chain Blader really profits from Roll Step (that teleport move). It really helps for positioning and works both at the ground and in the air - a huge advantage for this costume with its many aerial Artes. One difficulty in this combo is connecting Kuuha Zeppuugeki (Sonic Blast) since normally, the first hit either doesn't stagger Luna long enough to follow up with the second hit, or she gets downed after the first hit when she's in the air. However, if you roll-step cancel Majin Messhoukaku's useless recovery frames, you have a very short window of time to use Kuuha Zeppuugeki. Majin Messhoukaku lifts Luna up enough for the first hit of Kuuha Zeppuugeki to miss, but the second to connect right before she enters down state. After that, you pretty much need to OTG her to continue a combo. Of course, you can make connecting Kuuha Zeppuugeki much easier by using Toryuusen (Dragon Slayer) which lifts Luna up pretty high and doesn't need a roll-step nor any frame-specific BS, but that would be too easy...Also, the part from 0:18 onward may look easy, but making the inputs sure wasn't. It more or less requires your muscle memory to work perfectly here; if you blink or think, the combo drops here. That's one of the reasons I love this costume - it's deadly fast to watch and to play.

After that, you should easily see why this costume is broken. Toryuusen launches Luna way too high, making it possible to loop her with just that one Arte. Yep. And just to add a little bit of insight here...If you don't chain Toryuusen (meaning you leave a bit of delay between each one, meaning you start a new Arte chain every time), Luna will just be lifted straight up as you see here. However, should you chain Toryuusen, the second one will make the enemy spin and alter their lifting / falling behavior. I don't know if this applies to Artes in general in the game, so if someone could shed some light onto this, I'd be glad (who am I fooling, Muc's probably the only one who knows and reads this, anyway xD).

Majin Messhoukaku is another insulting Arte. See all these roll-step cancels I did there? None of that is required to keep the enemy staggered. I only did it to keep the combo counter going, but NDX' counter doesn't mean shit when it comes to "real" combos. A "real" combo is a string of moves during which the enemy cannot act, meaning that he is staggered / downed /whatever the entire time. For NDX' combo counter, stagger isn't a factor; it's only important that you repeatedly hit the enemy within a specific period of time regardless of stagger. That means that even if the enemy acts during your combo, the counter may still be going. The opposite is also true: the combo counter resets if you take too long between your hits even if the enemy can't act at any point. The latter actually happens in this vid during the Toryuusen loop (Luna stays too long in the air without me hitting her, so the counter resets even though she can't do jack shit). Same thing happens with Majin Messhoukaku: if you don't cancel it and just spam it, the counter resets between each Majin Messhoukaku, but you still got yourself a perfect infinite. If you do cancel it (which serves no other purpose here), you can make the first hit connect fast enough for the counter to continue.

And that ending is just classic. Zealous me naturally wanted to end the fight with an MA - and it did, but just look at it...classic.
