Request Playthrough | Part 34: Into the Ark of Yamato
All loose ends have been tied up, not to mention all 99 Stray Beads have been acquired. Time for us to finish it.
Ammy heads for the Ark of Yamato but it seems Issun can't enter. Issun can't join her because Ammy is a god, Issun is a sprite. Waka agrees as well. He's here too. But Waka delivers a harsh truth to Issun. Turns out Issun can't enter because “only those worthy of the trip to the heavens” can board. Issun tries but can't. The bridge disappears and Issun ends up in the waters below. All Ammy can do now is keep on going. Waka provides one final prophecy.
The Ark of the Yamato is the final area of the game and it's basically a boss rush. You face off against bosses that you encountered on your journey. It's also here you can get your hands on the final two Gold Dust that you need to upgrade your remaining weapons. The bosses are challenging but they aren't impossible to contend with. Spider Queen. Crimson Helm. Ninetails. Orochi. Blight. You can face them in any order you like. Not only that but you will encounter Celestials who provide backstory about the Ark of Yamato and how it ended up in this world. It's pretty sad and the worst part is that Waka is involved in all this. Let's just say that Waka's here hoping to rectify his own mistakes.
Once all five bosses are defeated, the way forward is open. Use this time to prepare any last-minute purchases. Once you enter, there's no going back.
Next part is the finale for we take on the Lord of Darkness himself, Yami.
