One Final Observation - Outer Wilds abridged pt.13 [End]
Spent a ton of time just trying to get into the Ash Twin Project and was getting really frustrated. I had spent like 6 hours thinking I'd have it figured out in 2-3. The solution for how to get in felt a bit unintuitive, and I remember reading something like changes were made earlier in order to make it a bit less obtuse.
After figuring that out, the rest came together pretty quick. The decision to grab the core and head to the vessel was nerve-wracking - possibly losing my save after so much work and the stream going way longer into the night than I expected.
Overall, as mentioned in the vods I posted earlier, I feel the journey was what really made the game special. The ending was a little too bittersweet for my taste - all that fighting against inevitability and then having to settle for initiating the next cycle. I suppose it would be a little too cliche if you restarted your own cycle or even managed to prevent the Hearthian supernova (or even worse, if you were able to save the Nomai, which would have been such a cop-out).
Thanks to Malastrome for cutting together this video from my earlier vods.
