Oriclopedia: IJK Software
IJK Software wrote some of the most memorable Oric games (such as Xenon 1 and Zorgon's Revenge).
It was founded in 1982 by the three members of the Sinclair family which gave its name: John S. Sinclair who mostly wrote games, his uncle Ian who took care of the advertising and production, and his father Keith who financially helped the project.
John was still a teenager, and had to shuffle between the IJK business and finishing his studies.
Their first game was Candyfloss on BBC Model A (which was later ported to the Oric by Ian), but they also released games on Commodore 64 and Sinclair Spectrum, where there was a lot of competition, so ultimately it was on the Oric platform they made the more money.
At some point they shifted from video game development to production and distribution with their own duplication company Duplidata (which did some work for Ocean, Electronic Arts, Firebirds and other), they successfully transitioned to the floppy format but did not have the finance to move the business to CD duplication so it shut it down after a while.
