This song from the sometimes forgotten yet brilliant Disney Animation Musical The Hunchback of Notre Dame was such a joy to perform. It was a shift from the recent voices I have performed but also pushed me to the limits of my natural voice. I found myself relating to so many of these story beats and I couldn’t help but feel an inherent connection to the character and voice of Quasimodo. 

While I was recording, it became clear early on that I needed to work on the buildup to the final notes of the song. The build-up has always been something that I need to improve on and I think I was able to reach the crescendo of the song with clear intent and objectives. 

This song was originally sung by Tom Hulce in a breathtaking performance surrounded by the beautiful world that Disney Animation crafted back in 1996. I knew that I had a chance to introduce a new technique to my vocal and performance ranges and I am very excited to present to you all the first video in the build-up to my Series 3 Finale:
