Over 1.9m Candidates Write UTME, As Oloyede Warns Parents to Stay Away From CBT Centers.

Over 1.9 million candidates are expected to sit for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) that commenced on Friday April 19th across the country.

Speaking with the media after monitoring the examination in some Computer Based Test Centers in Bwari, Abuja, JAMB Registrar ,Prof Ishaq Oloyede expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the exercise.

He said the Board has put in place innovations to tackle fraudulent practices to undermine the integrity of the examination.

Oloyede who was quick to react to the possibility of hitches in some CBT centers, called for calm.

The JAMB boss also warned candidates against giving out their details to fraudsters.

Oloyede further advised parents to adhere strictly to the directive to stay away from the CBT Centers,as there would be penalty for those caught in the act.

The UTME slated to end on Monday April 29th, 2024, will be conducted across 750 CBT Centers nationwide.
