Painkiller for Mac [Intel Crossover]
Painkiller and the Battle out of Hell expansion running on an Intel Mac with OS X 10.5 Leopard via a modified Crossover Chromium wrapper. All credit for the port goes to thedoctor45.
Painkiller is a FPS (first-person shooter) that was created in the style of early FPS games such as Doom an Quake. It was developed by game studio "People can Fly" and released in 2004. The game uses the Havok 2.0 physics engine extensively, the same engine featured in F.E.A.R., BioShock, Killzone 2 and Resident Evil 5, to name a few. You play as Daniel Garner, a happily married man, until both he and his wife die in a car accident. His wife goes off to heaven, but Daniel gets trapped in Purgatory. He is told that in order to join his wife in heaven, he must kill 4 of Lucifer's generals in order to prevent a war between Heaven and Hell from occurring. An expansion pack, Battle out of Hell, was released in 2004 and contains 10 new levels, 2 new weapons, and improved visual effects.
The port runs flawlessly on my machine.
