Portal running on Mac OS X [Intel Cider]
Portal is a hybrid FPS/Puzzle game developed by Valve Corporation, and is based on the Source engine from Half-Life 2. The game was included in the Orange Box, alongside Team Fortress 2, Half-Life 2, as well as HL2: Episodes 1 and 2.
In the game, you play an unnamed female test subject in the Aperture Science Research Centre, and must navigate your way through a series of test chambers using your Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device (a.k.a. Portal Gun), which opens linking portals, thus allowing you you to walk in one and out the other. You are guided through the test chambers by the Aperture Science artificial intelligence, GLaDOS.
All credit for this port goes to thedoctor45. It runs flawlessly on my machine, maxed out with DX9 shaders, very high textures, HDR + Motion Blur and 4xAA and Antiso. The only problem I have experienced to date is everything becomes very bright in the options menu, making it very hard to read and adjust settings.
This video was recorded in Snapz Pro X and compressed in Adobe Media Encoder CS4 on an Early 2009 24" iMac with a 3.06Ghz C2D, 4GB DDR3 RAM, and an ATI HD4850 GFX card. Enjoy ;)
