AudioSurf for Mac OS X [Intel CrossOver]
This is a port of the critically acclaimed music game "AudioSurf" running on an Intel Mac with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. All credit goes to devilhunter for the port.
AudioSurf is an award-winning puzzle/music game released in 2008 by Invisible Handlebar. In the game, you control a small, floating spacecraft with your mouse, moving down a linear track and collecting colored blocks into a 7x3 grid. Any 3 blocks of the same color that are touching will disappear. If you fill up any column past 7 blocks, you will die and respawn after about 5 seconds. The game itself is a kind of music-based tetris. The game accepts a variety of different music formats, from .m4a and .flac to .mp3 and AAC.
This port is based off the pre-steam version of Audiosurf, as the steam version has problems launching in Crossover. The 2 biggest problems with this port is that there is no support for quicktime audio files like ALAC and AAC, and the other is that on order for the game to function properly, the game is set to launch in windowed mode. You must click the "maximize" button in order for the game go fullscreen. The game has native windowed mode support, and therefore does not need to be run in a virtual desktop for this video. This video is not a fake because the windows have a win98 theme and not the default OS X theme. You can download the full port at http://portingteam.com in the forums section. This video was recorded with Snapz Pro X and converted with Adobe Media Converter CS4 on an Early 2009 24" iMac with a 3.06Ghz C2D, 4GB DDR3 RAM, and an ATI HD4850 GFX card. Enjoy ;)
