Hey friends!

Today I want to talk a bit about painting from photos vs directly from real-life reference / outdoors.

I haven't painted outside in a long time, and the experience of doing it after so long really impacted me. I started to really understand the difference between these two.

When painting from real-life, it's a lot easier to recognize values, perspective and the multitude of colors.

I will try incorporating painting outdoors in my weekly routine, because it's such a huge learning experience.
