Former Para Dan Jarvis who became Labour MP for Barnsley central made his first speech during the budget debate at the House of Commons yesterday. He told British Forces News 'now that I am in Parliament I will never forget what I am here to do and who has given me this opportunity to be here. It is a great privilege being an MP.' Jarvis served for fifteen years in the army and wants to continue to serve others through parliament.
