My current PC setup has been the same for about the last year and a half but it wasn't built all at once. The Case, Mobo, CPU, RAM, GPU, SSD and HDD all got upgraded separately months apart over time. Because of this I've never known how much exactly my PC cost or what it is worth today. I mean I had a rough idea but I always thought it would be a good idea to check it on PCPartsPicker and get an exact figure.

Despite all these parts ranging from 1.5-2 years old the price of the overall setup really hasn't changed much in the last 1.5 years. Some parts like the PSU and GPU have gone up in price, while others like the RAM and Case have come down.

I also wanted to see what few tweaks I would make if I was building this PC today. Keeping the price within reason I would want to make obvious upgrades like choosing the Ryzen 3600 instead of the 2600 as that's just the natural replacement. But I also would probably go with a 1TB SSD for games rather than a HDD since 1TB SATA SSD's like the WD Blue are so affordable now. The RX 570 was a bargain when I bought mine for $150 just over a year ago but now that they're over $200 I think the newer nVidia GTX 1650 Super makes more sense today. Overall the system would come out to be about $200 more but with a faster CPU, faster GPU and faster SSD game storage.
