The Auger ever hungers - Volcanoids Early Access Gameplay episode 13
0Today me and the crew return to Volcanoids. It's a game where you take on the role of an explorer charting a formerly inhabited volcanic island to see if it is ready for resettlement, only to fight a one man war against an endless army of robotic warriors known as Cogs, and the only support that you have taking the form of a semi-mobile, highly customizable, factory base known as a drillship. Also, all of this is happening in the shadow of the still active volcano that erupts like clock work and does not suffer the whims of man or machine. In this episode, I continue the repairs to my drillship which I have named the Auger. My main problem however is that most of my repair supplies were destroyed in the fight that damaged the Auger in the first place, and I am fresh out of the basic materials needed to build more. Once I manage to gather the materials needed to effect repairs I seek to upgrade the Auger using some equipment that I had removed previously only to find that that equipment is also missing. Once I manage to replace those as well, I learn that the last chunk of repairs will require even more resources that I ran out of while hunting for the resources that I needed for other things. I should, however, be better outfitted to fight the upcoming battle with what I assume is the flagship of the Cog's drillship fleet. At least I would be if the Auger doesn't run out of its primary food, coal, first. Enjoy.
