Our party is back in Tartarus and guess what... we have TWO new members! It's a doggie and... a little boy! Who could've thought.

Koromaru and Ken are pretty important party members. Even if it turns out I made a mistake in terms of choosing the units to train for the final boss, say, because Junpei's high HP and durability is more important (though Junpei's level disadvantage would be pretty big in comparison to Ken, considering he starts at level 1 and also misses the whole Hermit event), Ken has a level advantage over the entire party (with the exception of a certain temporary guest who will appear briefly in the next video) and good utility with Cruel Attack hitting downed enemies extra hard and Mediarama being learnt just one level later after joining. Ken is also guaranteed to have a level lead for the rest of the game, assuming we keep using him, which we certainly will.

Koromaru is a different character completely. High speed (honestly, I don't see how this affects avoid chances, though a lot of people seem to think it does) and absurdly high HP, plus no weaknesses to damaging magic (instadeath is a different thing). However, his learnset is pretty bad and, honestly, why invest in a character whose highest stat is agility? I'd rather focus my exp gain on Aigis whose level-ups bolster his durability, and whose HP is also quite high.

Magical Magus x3

I could've afforded to field Akihiko in the first battle, but he's ice-weak, so the opposition could easily remove him from the field and/or get a One More, which is very likely seeing that they're capable of casting Mabufula, or the deadly single-target Bufudyne.

However, they also have a weakness, and iirc as such are the last (or second to last?) boss in the game with an actual weakness. This means they can easily be knocked down, dizzied, after which they all lose a turn while I get to try kicking their asses before they wake up. Not fully possible, but Ken Amada does have Cruel Attack, and it's stupid not to abuse it considering the damage multiplier for attacks against knocked down foes.

Besides Ken's Cruel Attack, I also have Megidolaon on a much stronger Persona now - the damage is pretty good, though I can afford to cast it only once before I'm short of SP. You won't see a whole lot of it during this challenge though.

Sometimes the magi will cast Makarakarn on their party, making their knock down with fire magic or gems impossible. Koromaru can abuse his fire immunity by using a Maragi Gem in this case, absorbing the reflected spells and breaking the enemies' protection. Doesn't happen here though!

Magic Mirrors are a bad idea here because bounced back ice spells will heal the enemies.

Next boss is Natural Dancer, possessing lots of status and wind magic, who also happens to block wind.

Aigis's level advantage is still a thing, so I have her enter Orgia Mode to maximise her damage potential, and put up a magic mirror to protect against deadly spells and annoying statuses.

The plan is to up the crit rate with Revolution and hope the boss gets knocked down, missing turns and sustaining greater damage. Cruel Attack's damage output is especially huge.

The MC reaches lv. 22 after this battle - an important landmark considering this allows me to weapon fuse Legion (+100 HP) on any Nihil weapon I have (which is all of them because I farm the Tartarus a ton during unstable days).
