After playing through all of the games in the Mega Man classic series, I felt like a nice old school RPG. I've always played through this one using the official hint book that came with the game, and that's exactly what I did here as well. Here are some highlights:

6 minutes, 25 seconds - They say the same thing twice here? I guess there aren't enough members to regroup, are there? I said I guess there aren't enough members to regroup, are there? Also right after, interesting use of the word "lithe" here. I had to look that one up. It's a real word meaning thin, supple, and graceful. I have learned.

11 minutes, 55 seconds - There's another typo here where the clerk says "I see. Well, good luck!" before you even answer her question.

14 minutes, 55 seconds - There's an odd "feature" in this game where you can pause at any time and hold the B button to progress the game in slow motion. If you tap the C button, it advances one frame at a time. Interestingly, the music is also silenced since the game is paused, so if you enter a new area while performing this trick the new area will keep the music of the previous one. This even works for battles. Useless but fun.

17 minutes, 5 seconds - Make sure you talk to everyone in town for ultimate great knowledge. Wait who is that guy in the upper left corner? What a pain. I must talk to him. Also why is there no place to save in the second town? I believe that this is the only town in the game where the save location is missing.

18 minutes, 50 seconds - My controller batteries died while I was trying to talk to that elusive guy.

20 minutes, 30 seconds - You can actually examine these blown up doors from the back of the house. This changes nothing.

22 minutes, 35 seconds - Got him! I actually had to hit the A button as I was walking onto the area that takes you out of the town.

23 minutes, 40 seconds - You can enter these pipes from the side. It can actually make for a nice shortcut coming back to the first town from the second one.

54 minutes, 30 seconds - In fact, let's see that shortcut now.

1 hour, 34 minutes, 40 seconds - A Fibercoat eh? Whoops! You already had one equipped for both Rudo and Rolf! Time to reset and do the same thing with Nei. This game has an awful and very cumbersome equipment system where some of the equipment names are so confusing that you can't even tell what they are supposed to be or which body part they go to. Then you have no idea which character can equip any of the gear, and you also have no idea if the stats are any better or worse than what you currently have on. This makes getting new gear a real pain, and even causes me to reset sometimes. Lots of trial and error, and just picking some gear and going down the list of people to see if they can use it or not. The game also never tells you which pieces of equipment can be used in battle as items, so you're likely to never even know that you can do that.

3 hours, 47 minutes, 25 seconds - Let's use that pause trick mentioned above to get some sad overworld music for no reason.

3 hours, 49 minutes, 10 seconds - This town is called Opta? Is it? The teleport area calls it Oputa. Which one is it?!?!
