At last I'm inside the foundry, as well as picking up what I came for I decide to join the Godsmen. I figured there'd be more quests and more experience to be had by doing so and I was right. I did the first few Godsmen quests including the murder mystery but I didn't know where to find Sandoz in the foundry so that would have to wait. I also buy the Cloudkill spell, an old fave of mine from the other Infinity Engine games and very potent in this one. I go to UnderSigil to test it out and those tough worms drop like flies. After a bit more preparation I eventually take the portal to see Ravel.

There's a part where I travel to the lower wards and appear outside UnderSigil instead of the usual gate. That's an editing error on my part due to a reloaded autosave. All you miss is the walk from the gate to the UnderSigil entrance. It's a minor thing but I thought I'd mention it in the unlikely event anyone notices.
