After earning my Coal Badge at the Oreburgh Gym, it is time to head off to the next Gym, which is located in Eterna City. I test out my new Hidden Move of Rock Smash to find some secrets in Oreburgh Gate, then head back to Jubilife City to find Professor Rowan and Dawn with a bunch of people known as Team Galactic.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

If you are wondering about the title of this video, this is because in Japanese, Team Galactic were known as Galaxy Gang, which would mean their name would have been Team Galaxy, but the reason why they are called Team Galactic is to prevent confusion with the TV series Team Galaxy, which first aired in 2006, which was around the time the original games released in Japan.
Unfortunately, we don't get the extra dialogue from Platinum, because what happens is that Rowan would lecture Team Galactic before the battle, and that was a cool moment.
You team up with Dawn in this battle, or Lucas if you playing as the girl, and they would have the starter that yours has the type advantage against, and this is an easy fight, as the two Galactic Grunts use Zubat and Wurmple, and I do like the battle theme with Team Galactic, as well as that cool looking battlefield when you fight them.
After beating the grunts, Professor Rowan will tell you about Pokémon evolution, which is what he is researching on, and when he and Dawn leave, you meet up with Bebe, she is the one that manages the storage system in Sinnoh, so she's like Sinnoh's equivalent of Bill from Kanto, you don't encounter her in the originals at this point in the game until Hearthome City, and you do get Ball Capsules which you can place Stickers on, or Seals as they used to be called in the original games.
There are some other things I want to go over, once you have Rock Smash, you can access a new part of Oreburgh Gate, and you can pick up the TM for Flash there, but you can't access the rest of the cave until we have a bike.
As my starter evolves in this video, I want to go over the evolution level, Chimchar evolves the earliest at Level 14, then Piplup evolves at Level 16, which is the usual evolution level for starter Pokémon, and then Turtwig evolves the latest at Level 18, and as for their final forms, Turtwig reaches its final evolution at Level 32, while Chimchar and Piplup evolve to their final forms at Level 36.
Then you get access to Jubilife TV Station, which is a large building, and on the first floor, there is a Trainer that you can battle, they rotate daily, and they can be good experience for your Pokémon, but they can be a bit tough for this early on in the game. On some of the floors, there are rooms when you can check your online ranking, and if you talk to the man on the third floor, if you answer "Everyone Happy Wi-Fi Connection", you can unlock Mystery Gift earlier, otherwise you can unlock Mystery Gift after getting your third Gym Badge.
There are some Mystery Gifts live at the time I recorded this video, I am saying this just in case you happen to be watching this video months, or even years after this video is live. You can get the Platinum Style outfits, which are a reference to your winter-based outfits in Pokémon Platinum, and there is the Manaphy Egg, and this is the first time you were able to obtain it since the Pokémon Ranger games, because in the original games, you needed any of the Pokémon Ranger games and transfer over the Manaphy Egg from a special mission from those games over to any of the Gen 4 games, so that is Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, or SoulSilver.
I could go over Manaphy, this is a Mythical Pokémon introduced in Generation 4, it is a Water-type Pokémon that comes with Water Gun and Tail Glow when hatched. Tail Glow is a very rare move that boosts Manaphy's Special Attack stat by three stages, and it is stuck with Water Gun until Level 24 when it learns Bubble Beam. Manaphy is reliant on TMs to be usable, it can get some great moves like Surf, Psychic, Ice Beam, Energy Ball, Dazzling Gleam, and many other moves, and with Tail Glow, it is capable of sweeping teams. It has Hydration for its Ability, so you can give it Rain Dance and Rest so that it can heal up fully and wake up immediately, and it's also a great Pokémon in competitive battling thanks to its access to Tail Glow. Manaphy has base 100 in all stats around, and it is best used as a Special Attacker, as most of its best moves are Special Attacks, and it is the only Pokémon to learn the move Heart Swap, which it learns at Level 76, this will switch out all of its stat changes with the target.
