I am playing Classic Mode with Banjo & Kazooie in this video, they are DLC characters in this game, and what I do is randomize a list to decide who the next character I play as it, and the playlist for my Classic Mode videos are displayed in order of how the fighters are displayed on the roster.
Banjo & Kazooie's Classic Mode route is Perfect Partner, so their opponents are characters that are fought in pairs, and the music and stages for each of the battles are based on the different areas from Banjo-Kazooie, it is good to see a character that is from Rare currently be in Smash Bros., even though Banjo did use to be on the Nintendo 64 back when Rare was owned by Nintendo, and at the time of this video being uploaded, Banjo-Kazooie is coming soon to Nintendo 64 - Nintendo Switch Online, so I guess this does give players a chance to play that game on a Nintendo console once again.
Going over their Classic Mode route, in Round 1, they fight Duck Hunt Duo on Spiral Mountain, and the colour scheme for Duck Hunt Duo in this battle is a reference to Banjo & Kazooie themselves. In Round 2, you fight Rosalina & Luma on Tortimer Island, which references Treasure Trove Cove, then in Round 3, you fight Ice Climbers on Summit, likely to reference Freezeezy Peak, in Round 4, you fight Link and Zelda on Mushroomy Kingdom, which is a reference to Gobi's Valley. In Round 5, you fight Fox and Falco in their dark costumes, and they are fought on Luigi's Mansion, which references Mad Monster Mansion. In Round 6, you fight Diddy Kong and Donkey Kong on Jungle Japes, which is a reference to how Rare owned both the Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong series, and Banjo was a playable character in Diddy Kong Racing, which was where he made his first appearance.
After the Bonus Stage, you fight both Master Hand and Crazy Hand, and you do fight both hands on any difficulty, and they were picked because work as a duo, and likely to go with the theme of characters being fought in pairs.
After completing Classic Mode with Banjo & Kazooie, you get the credits, which plays the music for Spiral Mountain, which is a cool remix of the song, and you get the Fighter Spirit for them if you completed Classic Mode with them for the first time.
