Mario Kart 64 - Mushroom Cup 150cc
0Next up is 150cc, and this one is really difficult, because this is the highest speed class in all of Mario Kart 64, and this is where your rivals are trying to catch up to you. I use Wario for this one, and I did go through all of the characters, so there's not much to go over with the characters in this one.
The tracks for the Mushroom Cup are Luigi Raceway, Moo Moo Farm, Koopa Troopa Beach, and Kalimari Desert. What I could go over with the 150cc courses is which ones were brought back in later Mario Kart games, Moo Moo Farm is in Mario Kart DS, while Luigi Raceway, Koopa Troopa Beach, and Kalimari Desert all return in Mario Kart 7.
I might have went over this in the 100cc Mushroom Cup video description, but on Luigi Raceway, you can get a guaranteed Blue Shell from the item box hanging from a hot air balloon, even in 1st place, but if you do use it while in first place, you can get hit by your own Blue Shell. I do like the ramps on Koopa Troopa Beach, and if you have a Mushroom, you can take a shortcut through the cave, they did make it easier in Mario Kart 7 compared to this game, because in Mario Kart 7, the ramp leading to the cave becomes a glider panel, and while the track is called Koopa Troopa Beach, in Mario Kart 7, the track is called Koopa Beach outside of Europe, making it the only Retro Track to have a different name than the original.
