I am playing through Classic Mode with Terry Bogard, and I am not doing it in order, even though I did upload Classic Mode with Banjo & Kazooie before this one, it is based on the list randomizer that I use to decide which characters I will play as when doing Classic Mode, but the playlist will display the fighters in roster order.
Terry Board originated from Fatal Fury, and his Classic Mode route is called The King of Smash, likely a reference to The King of Fighters, and battles are 3-on-3 in The King of Fighters, Terry fights three characters in a Stamina Battle, Terry will always have 150 HP, while all of his opponents have 100 HP, and some of his opponents are references to certain characters from The King of Fighters or stages from them, and as Terry is a DLC character from Fighters Pass 1, and the second to last character of Fighters Pass 1, and the last Third-Party Character, despite the final character of Fighters Pass 1 not being from a Third-Party series, instead being from a series which already has representation in Smash.
Going over Terry's Classic Mode route, his Round 1 opponents are Mario, Peach, and Rosalina & Luma, they are fought on King of Fighters Stadium, which is Terry's home stage, this is supposed to reference the Woman's Fighter team, despite Mario being the only male character that you fight in this battle, they could have had like Daisy, Samus, or any other female character.
Round 2 is on Prism Tower, and your opponents are Sheik, Link, and Zelda, and the stage does not transition, so it is how the stage is played when hazards are turned off. In Round 3, you fight Bowser, King Dedede, and King K. Rool on Suzaku Castle Omega Form, and all the opponents in this one are heavyweight characters. In Round 4, you fight Pit, Dark Pit, and Palutena, they are fought on Palutena's Temple in Battlefield Form, likely referencing the Athena series of SNK, and Items are on in this battle.
In Round 5, you fight Sonic, Mega Man, and Pac-Man, the Third-Party characters from the base roster in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U, they are fought on Boxing Ring, this is likely due to how they had games on Neo Geo Pocket Color. In Round 6, you fight Ridley, Ganondorf, and Bayonetta on Omega Mode Fourside, and they are all affiliated with darkness.
Next is the Bonus Stage, and after that, Terry does not fight a boss opponent, his opponents are Ryu, Ken, and another Terry, who would use the blue costume if you play as the default costume, otherwise if you are playing as an alternate costume, you would fight the default Terry, and as The King of Fighters series is a traditional fighting game, much like Street Fighter, I could see why they would be chosen for Terry's final opponents, you fight on King of Fighters Stadium.
After that, the credits roll, and the song is Kurikinton from Fatal Fury 2, and it is the original variant, the SNK franchise added 50 songs, which is the most out of any series to be added through one DLC update, and you earn the Fighter Spirit for Terry if you completed Classic Mode with him for the first time.
