The rival battle on Route 110 was very difficult and I needed a risky strategy to win. I used a X-Speed and a X-Attack while Numel hit Marshtomp with Ember. It could use Yawn to put Marshtomp asleep, making me reset. Grovyle went first with Absorb and I slowed it down with Rock Tomb. I healed up Marshtomp and Grovyle used Quick Attack. I defeated it with Rock Tomb because it was then slower. Wingull was a simple OHKO with Rock Tomb, but that could also miss.
There were two required battles on Route 110 and both were OHKO's with Mud Shot. I picked up an Elixir and a X-Speed in Mauville City. I received Rock Smash and I also got the Mach Bike. I quickly OHKO'd Wally's Ralts with Mud Shot before entering the gym and I saved.

Saved at 0:36 with a L20 Marshtomp.
